October 21 – October 26, 2012
Hollyhock Retreat Center on Cortes Island, Canada
with Jinen Brenda Carter Blessings
How does awakening heal the body, mind and spirit? What is the role of the ego in healing and awakening? How do we learn to meet constant change, movement and difference in the world? Why is healing and awakening the personal self important for us to engage in compassionate action in the world?
In this intimate 5 day workshop, we will explore these profound questions and a new relationship to transformation and healing. This workshop is based on the revolutionary work of Jason Shulman, internationally known modern Kabbalist, Buddhist teacher and founder of A Society of Souls—taught by his Dharma Heir, Jinen Brenda Carter Blessings.
From the awakened point of view, our very longing for healing and liberation is due to the ongoing action of God. This is God calling to God. Only by facing our deepest humanity with its limitations, imperfections and simple joys can we experience the liberation that is our birthright.
In this retreat, we will begin with deep acceptance and compassion for the human being—and the understanding that our problems have a single origin—the sense of being a separate ego personality self only and not in relationship to the Whole of Reality. We will directly address this sense of alienation from ourselves, others and all of life—and in this, actively encourage the body, mind and spirit heal and awaken into relationship.
Brenda Carter Blessings is Executive Director and Senior Teacher of A Society of Souls, The School for Nondual Healing and Awakening, based in the U.S. and Netherlands, which teaches a four year training in Nondual Kabbalistic Healing®, as well as the Magi Process®, Impersonal Movement® and the Work of Return®.
